10th Iberoamerican Congress on Pattern Recognition ( X CIARP'05)

The Tenth Iberoamerican Congress on Pattern Recognition (X CIARP) is
organized by the Cuban Association for Pattern Recognition (ACRP) and
sponsored by the Institute of Cybernetics, Mathematics and Physics (ICIMAF),
the Advanced Technologies Application Center (CENATAV), the University of
Oriente (UO), the Polytechnic Institute \u201cJosé A Echevarria\u201d
(ISPJAE), the Central University of Las Villas (UCLV), the Ciego de Avila
University (UNICA), and the National Center of Scientific Research (CNIC) of
Cuba.

The conference is also co-sponsored by the Portuguese Association for
Pattern Recognition (APRP), the Spanish Association for Pattern Recognition
and Image Analysis (AERFAI), the Special Interest Group of the Brazilian
Computer Society (SIGPR-SBC), and the Mexican Association for Computer
Vision, Neurocomputing and Robotics (MACVNR). XCIARP is endorsed by
International Association for Pattern Recognition .

Accepted papers will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science as in
2003 (LNCS 2905) and in 2004 (LNCS 3287). We firmly recommend for the
authors to follow the LNCS guidelines, available at

X CIARP, as all the nine previous conferences were, will be a forum for the
exchange of scientific results and experiences, as well as the sharing of
new knowledge, and the increasing of the co-operation between research
groups in pattern recognition and related areas.

*PAPER SUBMISSION AND REVIEW PROCESS

All the 8 A4-pages papers will be submitted in English. All submissions will
be peer reviewed for originality, technical content and relevance to the
theme of this conference by at least two members of the Scientific
Committee. The reviewing process will be on full papers, blind double
blind. The papers should be submitted electronically before June 19, 2005.

Accepted papers will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science as in

Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to
register before September 1 and to present the communication at the
conference if it is accepted. The organizers guarantee the publication in
the proceedings only in case that at least one of the authors registers
before September 1, 2005 .
