10th Iberoamerican Congress on Pattern Recognition ( X CIARP'05) 2do. Call For Papers November 15-18, 2005 Occidental Miramar Hotel, Havana, Cuba The Tenth Iberoamerican Congress on Pattern Recognition (X CIARP) is organized by the Cuban Association for Pattern Recognition (ACRP) and sponsored by the Institute of Cybernetics, Mathematics and Physics (ICIMAF), the Advanced Technologies Application Center (CENATAV), the University of Oriente (UO), the Polytechnic Institute \u201cJosé A Echevarria\u201d (ISPJAE), the Central University of Las Villas (UCLV), the Ciego de Avila University (UNICA), and the National Center of Scientific Research (CNIC) of Cuba. The conference is also co-sponsored by the Portuguese Association for Pattern Recognition (APRP), the Spanish Association for Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis (AERFAI), the Special Interest Group of the Brazilian Computer Society (SIGPR-SBC), and the Mexican Association for Computer Vision, Neurocomputing and Robotics (MACVNR). XCIARP is endorsed by International Association for Pattern Recognition . Accepted papers will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science as in 2003 (LNCS 2905) and in 2004 (LNCS 3287). We firmly recommend for the authors to follow the LNCS guidelines, available at http://www.springeronline.com/sgw/cda/frontpage/0,11855,5-164-2-72376-0,00.html Please submit your paper at: xciarp@cenatav.co.cu sending two files, one of them without any information about the authors and including, instead of this, the topic(s) in which paper must be classify (See TOPICS above). X CIARP, as all the nine previous conferences were, will be a forum for the exchange of scientific results and experiences, as well as the sharing of new knowledge, and the increasing of the co-operation between research groups in pattern recognition and related areas. *TOPICS Authors are invited to submit contributions includes, but not limited to the following areas: 1. -Computer Vision 2. -Data Mining, data processing. 3. -Natural Language Processing and Recognition 4. -Discrete Geometry 5. -Document Processing and Recognition. 6. -Character recognition. 7. -Fuzzy and Hybrid Techniques in Pattern Recognition 8. -Image Coding, Processing and Analysis 9. -Industrial and Medical Applications of Pattern Recognition 10. -Logical Combinatorial Pattern Recognition 11. -Mathematical Morphology 12.
