Call for Participation at the International Workshop

NON-CLASSICAL FORMAL LANGUAGES IN LINGUISTICS (ForLing2007)

This is a co-located workshop of the 16th International Symposium on
Fundamentals of Computation Theory (FCT) that will be held in the
Bencz-búr Hotel in Budapest (Hungary) on August 27-30, 2007.-A

The workshop will take place after the Conference, on August 31, 2007.

Organizing institutions are the Research Group on Mathematical
Lingusitics (GRLMC) of the Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona) in
cooperation with the Theoretical Computer Science Research Group of
the Computer and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian
Academy of Sciences (SZTAKI).


AIMS AND SCOPE

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers from
different areas that have in common the use of formal language theory
to approach different aspects of natural language.

TOPICS of interest include (but not limited to):

-bˇ Linguistic Applications of Formal Languages-A
-bˇ Formal Analysis of Linguistic Theories and Frameworks-A
-bˇ Model-Theoretic and Proof-Theoretic Methods in Linguistics-A

-bˇ Linguistic Applications of FSA-A
-bˇ Logics and Language-A

 

SUBMISSIONS

Authors are invited to submit a paper of at most 10 pages in plain
LaTeX format to one of the following e-mail addresses
mariadolores.jimenez@urv.cat or gemma.bel@urv.cat

Accepted papers will be included in a preproceedings volume edited as
a GRLMC report.

A collection of selected papers is also planned to be published as a
special issue of an international journal.

Notification of acceptance : June 15, 2007
Final version due : July 15, 2007
