Information management in enterprises Scope A key factor of competitivity and performance of manufacturing systems consists in the ability to capitalize the information used daily: data on the products, the processes to build them, as well as all the commerce (orders, mails, client and prospects, ..) etc. More and more of this information is available digitally, in fact we are swamped with information. Therefore there is a need for solutions to manage this information in different ways: structuring, browsing and searching. This session will highlight the tools, models and techniques to manage documents and information in enterprises. The knowledge carried in these documents could be either fully structured with languages such XML, or flat as plain text, or containing structured information in an unstructured framework. The focus is either on the integration of known techniques, or the presentation of new ideas, models, or algorithms. Papers describing experiments or deployment of solutions are more than welcome. Moreover, the session's key points are about retrieval, mining, or extraction. In addition, heterogeneity and interoperability are problems in themselves and will be addressed. Topics * Information retrieval * Information extraction * Text mining * Document structuration * Document exchange * Databases and document interoperabiblity Submission Invited papers (6 pages in IFAC double column format) will be reviewed by at least two referees. As to regular papers, both academic and industrial oriented communications will be considered. Scientific contributions will be compiled into several volumes of INCOM06's proceedings. Further submission instructions are available on the symposium website (http://www.emse.fr/incom2006 ). Important Deadlines Please express your intention of submission now to the chairs.
