Theoretical Linguistics Programme, Budapest University 6th International Symposium on Logic and Language CALL FOR PAPERS Our Symposia on Logic and Language have aimed at promoting the interaction between formal linguists and logicians. They are organized every second year, once by the Department of Logic and Methodology of Science, once by the Theoretical Linguistics Programme of the Lorand Eotvos University of Budapest (which is a joint department of the University and Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences). In 1988, it is the Theoretical Linguistics Programme's turn. The conference will be held in Budapest, on August 29 to September 1, 1998. The topic of the 6th Symposium is ``Uses of Indefinite Expressions''. Papers are invited to contribute to the problem of how the various expressions traditionally considered indefinite are used. Deadlines. - -------- The deadline for submission of abstracts is February 15, 1998. Acceptance notifications will be sent out by May 1, 1988. Those who wish to participate must register with us before May 20, 1988. The camera-ready versions of the papers must be submitted by August 25, 1988; they will be photocopied and offered to the participants at the Symposium. Presentations. - ------------ Each presentation will be 20 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes of discussion. Submission format. - ---------------- The abstracts are to be submitted by e-mail, to the following address: kalman@nytud.hu (Laszlo Kalman). The camera-ready versions are to be printed on A4 type paper, with 1 inch left, right, top and bottom margins, in 10 point font (preferably TeX or LaTeX, Computer Modern), and their length must not exceed 10 pages.
